What is promotion

  • Component of the marketing mix which deals with the total marketing communication programme of an organization
  • Promotion is intended to stimulate sales through disseminating information to potential buyers.
  • Although, promotion is the primary communication activity, the entire marketing mix (Products, Price and Place) must be co-ordinated for greatest impact.
