Description:
This course is in continuition of CPC 1. In CPC 1 the procedure for the presentation of plaint to the decision of the suit was taught to the students. In this course the incidental proceedings, the suites and business of the civil courts, powers of the presiding officers in such matters, appointment of commisioners for such matters and their reports, methods for considering such reports, objectives on such reports, procedures for preffering appeals, review petetions, revisions, their forums and grounds were discussed, procedures of suits by or against governement, corporations and other autonomous bodies, interpleader suits were discussed and taught to the students along with the examples to explain and interpret law.
Issuance of temporary injunctions and withdrawal of suits, students were provided knowledge about the arrest and attachment before judgement. Different types of suits and suits with special procedures were learnt in the lectures, procedure for sutis by special person was thoroughly understood by the students with the help of codified as well as case law. Students have been fully trained in the procedure of civil courts and other tribunals in which CPC is applicable.
Students were keenly and deeply acquainted with law of limitation, its applications, procedure for the computation of limitations and exemptions from limitation.
Learning Outcomes:
On completion of the course the students will be fully competent to file or defend a suit or appeal or revision, to draft any suit of any type, its complete process of summonuns, producing evidence, consulting the relevant law and presenting before the court or tribunal as the case may be, the law graduate will be able to practice any field of law where procedure provided by the CPC is applicable.
He can practice in all courts of Civil, Revenue, Bankings, Service Matters and Consumer Courts.
