This course provides an overview of the important phenomena of Development Communication, in general. The course will interpret and analyze the role of mass media in highlighting social development in society. After studying this course, students will be able to have a better insight in Development Communication and will analyze the nature and treatment of media contents on development issues.

OBJECTIVES

  • Students will be able to know about the development done through communication;
  • Students will be able to know how development takes place in under-developed, developing and developed countries;
  • Students will be able to know the strategies and tactics to bring change and development.

  • Students will have command to design a development campaign at local, natonal or international level
