Parts of speech

Parts means "portion", and speech means "the expression of thoughts and feelings that we use in our daily life". 

The sentences are arranged according to their syntactic funtion. There are 8 main parts of speech , i-e, noun, pronoun, verb, adverb, adjective, conjunction, interjection, preposition.

I  traditional grammar, a part of speech refers to the category of words that have similar grammatical properties.
