Lecture 10 Types of adverbs, conjunction, adjectives and interjection

Adverb of place, always talks about location, where tge action of verb is being carried out. These can be directional, for example, up, down, around, away etc

Adverb of time, tell us when an action happened and for how long. For example, now, then, yesterday, tonight, soon etc.

"ADJECTIVES"

It modifies a noun or noun phrase. Its semantic role is to change information given by the noun. They are usually positioned before a noun or pronoun. Some sentences may also contain multiple adjectives. For example, sweet, blue, sharp etc.

"CONJUNCTION"

A word used to connect words of clauses is called conjunction.  It is usually helpful in making lists. For example, we made pancakes, eggs and coffee for breakfast.

Conjunctions can be recognized by remembering the acronym, "FANBOYS" which refers to the words, for, and, nor,  but, or, yet, so. These seven words, help to connect the clauses. 

"INTERJECTION"

It demonstrates the emotions or the feelings of the author. These words or phrases can stand alone and these can also be placed before or after a sentence. It expresses a strong and sudden expression, for example, wow, yahoo, hurrah, alas, yeah, ouch, phew, eww, ohh, ooppss etc.
