Introduction to the course:

This course is aimed at providing an insight into the methods and techniques of scientific research. It aims to provide them a basic understanding of conducting academic and industry research. Other objectives of the course include: to develop an understanding of the significance of research and scientific inquiry process; extensive understanding on research designs in communication research; and understand the type, process, and method of different techniques of research. It aims at developing the interest of students to explore their research education in the field of mass media and communication.

On completion of this subject, students should be able to:

  • 80 % class attendance is mandatory. 
  • Assignments would not be accepted after the due date.
  • The originality of work would be ensured in case of assignments.
  • In group presentations, group members have to divide the sub-topics in consultation with the teacher.
