This course provides introductory concepts related to agricultural extension education. This course will also describe various principles of agricultural extension work and enable students to understand existing organizational structure of agricultural extension at national and provincial level. The fundamental objectives of the course are: 

  1. To provide basic concepts related to agricultural extension & rural development 

  2. To highlight various extension strategies with emphasis to improve agricultural productivity at farm level

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After completion of this course the students will learn agricultural extension education and its principles to conduct extension related works. Furthermore, it will also enable students to understand organizational structure of agriculture extension in Pakistan. Students will also learn about various extension programs and strategies, rural development and development strategies. Moreover, students will learn about diffusion of innovation, and ICTs role in agricultural extension.
