Unit 3: Corporate Social Responsibility and Stakeholder Theory
Organisations have well-defined economic and legal responsibilities. There is however a growing recognition of an extended responsibility outside of these obligations, with responsibilities towards stakeholders. Stakeholders may be defined as those individuals or groups with which the organization interacts on any level, or any individual or group who may be affected by the actions of the organization. Stakeholder theory essentially involves protecting the interests of all stakeholders in the organization.This unit aims at introducing studetns to basic assumptons and underlying moral and ethical principles of stakeholder theory.
