Unit 2: The Principles of CSR
By CSR we mean that business should take responsibility for the results of its activities upon employees, customers, the community and the environment. Often the effects must be thought of in terms of the economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic impact or basically business decision of cost to implement versus return on investment. Usually organizations voluntarily exercise their improvements, commitments and performance reporting based on three fundamental principles of CSR. This unit focuses on these fundamental principles of CSR namely:
- Accountability
- Transparency
- Sustainability
