Students will learn the basics of the optical and acoustic phonons in crystals

  • Students will become familiar with concept of Thermal properties like Heat capacity, various models etc.

Lecture 02: Studying the (a) Classical Model, (b) Einstein Model.

Lecture 03: Debye Model.

Lecture 04:Studying thermal conductivity.

Lecture 05: Phonon scattering.

Lecture 06: Problems.
