Introduction to Course
course includes the basic introduction of Mathematics which will be useful for students in their research activities The aims of teaching and learning mathematics are to encourage and enable students to: recognize that mathematics permeates the world around us understand and be able to use the language, symbols and notation of mathematics. develop mathematical curiosity and use inductive and deductive reasoning when solving problems

Students will demonstrate an understanding of the common body of knowledge in mathematics. Students will demonstrate the ability to apply analytical and theoretical skills to model and solve mathematical problems. Students will demonstrate the ability to analyze data and draw appropriate statistical conclusions.

Real Numbers, Complex Numbers, Matrices and Determinants, Quadratic Equations, sets ,Functions, Sequence and Series, Trigonometric Functions, Trigonometric Identities and Trigonometric Applications.
Assessment Criteria:
Sessional: 20 (Presentation / Assignment 04, Attendance 08, Result Mid-Term 04, Quiz 04)
Mid-Term Exam: 30
Final-Term Exam: 50
