DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

 This course aims to enable students to learn contemporary religions. The course provides an overview of major faiths, and rituals of contemporary religions. Students will be able to analyze the similarities or differences among contemporary religions by learning their salient features. This study will promote inter-faith harmony.

 

INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, it is expected that students will be able to know:

  • Need of religion in human life.
  • Classification of contemporary religions.
  • Faiths, rituals and teachings of contemporary religions.
  • Comparison of contemporary religions.
