DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

 This course aims to enable students to learn contemporary religions. The course provides an overview of major faiths, and rituals of contemporary religions. Students will be able to analyze the similarities or differences among contemporary religions by learning their salient features. This study will promote inter-faith harmony.

 

INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, it is expected that students will be able to know:

  • Need of religion in human life.
  • Classification of contemporary religions.
  • Faiths, rituals and teachings of contemporary religions.
  • Comparison of contemporary religions.

Students will complete their research assignments, regarding the course , assigned by teacher.

  RULES  AND  REGULATIONS

 

  1. Submission of assignments after due date will result in the deduction of sessional marks.
  2. Failure of submission of assignments will affect your sessional marks at the end of semester
  3. Plagiarism is not allowed in projects and assignments . Plagiarism involves an attempt to use an element of another person’s work, without appropriate acknowledgement in order to gain academic credit.
