Unit 2: (Week 03 & Week 04) Social Policy and Society
Social policy is concerned with well-being of people in society. Rather it is much more appropriate to say that social policy is concerned with people who lack well-being – people with particular problems or needs – and the services which provide for them. The kinds of issue which social policy tend to focus ,then,include problems like poverty, poor housing, mental illness, and disability. Social policy is concerned with issues that are social.
