Very effective technologies are now becoming available for enterprise integration. These achieve technology integration, based on the use of XML (Extensible
Markup Language), EAI, and Web services. We will briefly introduce XML here. A prerequisite for the effective use of XML is data modeling: to define the
metadata that XML requires. Many data modeling tools automatically generate XML definition files from defined metadata.We discussed XYZ Corporation in Chapter 7.
