• Identify and adopt an appropriate philosophical position to a particular research question
• Recognise and successfully address any ethical issues that can arise throughout the duration of a research project
• Use relevant quantitative and qualitative methodologies when writing-up the dissertation project
• Appreciate and apply various analytical techniques during the research process
