Introduction to Course
This Psychology of Work Environment and Work Motivation (PSYC-7209) explores the nature of traditional and non-traditional work environments. The meaning and culture of work and worker communication, motivation, job satisfaction, performance appraisal, and group dynamics are investigated.
Learning Outcomes
- To analyze work and its role in people lives.
- To examine the influence of workplace culture, structure, and communication on worker motivation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
- To investigate the varied functions of performance appraisal in the workplace, differentiate between work groups and work teams.
- To utilize psychological concepts and theories to evaluate workplace effectiveness.
