Introduction to Course

This Psychology of Work Environment and Work Motivation (PSYC-7209) explores the nature of traditional and non-traditional work environments. The meaning and culture of work and worker communication, motivation, job satisfaction, performance appraisal, and group dynamics are investigated.

Learning Outcomes

  1. To analyze work and its role in people lives.
  2. To examine the influence of workplace culture, structure, and communication on worker motivation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
  3. To investigate the varied functions of performance appraisal in the workplace, differentiate between work groups and work teams.
  4. To utilize psychological concepts and theories to evaluate workplace effectiveness.
