Introduction:

The aim of this course is look into the evolution of Pakistani society, patterns of social change,  landscape, nation and ethnicity. It will explore the institution of family, Religion and Community. Popular culture and Pakistani mind, State, Society and Individual, Social development of a postcolonial society will also be explored in the course.

Learning Outcomes:

On the successful completion of the course, the students will be acquainted with the basic traits of Pakistani culture. The studnents will be ableto understand the diverse, multilayered yet integrated society of Pakistan.

  • The Course will require participation of students in class discussions and in question answer sessions.

  • Assignment+ Presentation       = 15 marks
  • Mid Term Examination            = 30 marks
  • Final Examination                    =50 marks
