Aim  & Objective:

Pakistan Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code are statutes which complements and supplements each other in most respects and are generally perceived as counter-parts in the system of criminal justice in Pakistan.

Principally, the Code of Criminal Procedure is an adjective law of procedure. The object is to provide machinery for the punishment of offenders against the substantive criminal laws. such as Pakistan Penal Code. The purpose of the Code is to ensure that an accused person gets a full and fair trial along certain well-established and well understood lines that accord with our notions of natural justice.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of the Course student should be able to:

  • Critically analyze and evaluate the process of proving facts within the courts of Pakistan.
  • Work in a team in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Demonstrate advanced capacity to use feedback to inform personal and professional development. Utilize critical self-evaluation to drive improvement.
  • Procedure of a criminal trial , Regular Trial , Summary Trial & Trial in absentia ;
  • Complexities involved in a trial and their legal solutions.
