This course provides students an overview of entrepreneurship, characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, impact of entrepreneurial firms on economies and societies, entrepreneurial process, and Indications of Increased Interes in Entrepreneurship. The course is designed to provide a broad exposure to its numerous literatures, an understanding of its central concepts, and the opportunity to develop ideas for how you might contribute to this field. I will pursue these goals by examining a mix of theoretical and empirical research on entrepreneurship, thinking critically about their strengths and limitations, and creating a forum for you to test your own conceptual and empirical ideas.
