This course provides students an overview of Management, characteristics of successful organizations, impact of entrepreneurial firms on economies and societies, case studies of successful managers etc. The course is designed to provide a broad exposure to its numerous literatures, an understanding of its central concepts, and the opportunity to develop ideas for how you might contribute to this field. I will pursue these goals by examining a mix of theoretical and empirical research on management, and creating a forum for students to test conceptual and empirical ideas.
After the completion of course students will be able to enhance the understanding of various elements of management, and how theories and practices of management are useful in real world settings. As in today’s dynamic and competitive world of business people need to posses’ up to date knowledge of management, leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams, to motivate and keep employees engaged, the above mentioned topics will stimulate additional thoughts regarding management of organization.
