Objectives:

 To help the students to understand the importance of Medical and Psychiatric Social Work and analyses its implication as preventive and curative programme. To enable the students to understand the nature and dynamics of illness and get familiar with the different ways in order to help the patients to deal with stress situations. To develop an understanding of multi-disciplinary approach in medical and psychiatric settings.

Intended Learninig Outcomes:

At the end of the course the students are expected to have:

  • An understanding of Medical & Psychiatric social work as field of social work.

  • Provide knowledge to learn from each other

  • Knowledge of clinical services to help client

Total marks: 100

Mid term Exam/ Term paper: 30 Marks.

Sessional activities ( quizz, presentation, assignments, class participation) : 20 Marks.

Final Term Exam: 50 Marks.
