Objectives:

The course is designed to give the student information on Social casework process, basic
concepts involved and its scientific basis. There will be discussion on client-case workers relationship
diagnosis and Treatment process interviewing techniques and tools like recording and its Types. It also
involves discussion on authority and its use in Social Case Work, the Phenomena of transference and
types of treatment etc.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the course the students are expected to have:

  • An understanding of Social Case Work as a primary method of social work.

  • Provide knowledge to develop rapport

  • Knowledge to understand Individual(client) psycho-social problems

Description of system of evaluation:

Total marks: 100

Midterm Exam/ Termpaper: 30 Marks.

Sessional activities ( quizz, presentation, assignments, class participation) : 20 Marks.

Final Term Exam: 50 Marks.
