Course Description and Objectives:

This course revloves around different genres of literature as it is universally acknowlegded fact that a particular language can be learnt through exposing oneself with the literature of that specific language. The students not only get familiarized with the literature of a langauge but also understand the nuances of that language. The critical and analytical skills of understanding and interpretetion of written texts are enahnced by this appraoch. 

This course aims at grooming the students linguistically in such a manner that they are able to operate independently and confidently on a reliable communicative competence in both spoken and written domains of English language proficiency,

It also focuses on training students to acquire reading skills required to cope effeciently with the challenges of English language and to meet the demands of other subjects involving English language.
