The objective of this course is to provide the basic knowelege of statistics and empirical implication of discrete and some continues  probability distributions on casuals events. Some discrete set of variables, their probability distributions and conversion of  probability distribution on special situations are considered. It's also concern with Bernoulli, binomial , negative binomial , fitting of binomial distribution, Poisson, hypergeometric distributions. Some continues distributions like Normal exponential gamma distributions are also considered at numerical platform. This course enables how to apply these distribution on real life situations for planning and suggestions in computer scince and information technology.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course the students will be able to:

  • The students  will be able to understand data analysis, modeling and predictions in their respective fields.
  • The content of this course covers all the descriptive statistics and probability models along with some basic touch of regression analysis.
  • In addition, R- Language software will also be taught so that they were easily get insight into the challenges with big data.
