DESRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES.                                                                                                   This course is designed to develop an understanding of world legal order. The objective of this course is to generate awareness among the students regarding the nature,evoluation,development and application of International law among the members of the International community such as state, International Institutions and individuals.This course also addresses the issues of practicability of International Law. Its study also enhances the ability of analyzing various issues confronting the world in accordance with International Law.
         INTENDED COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES.
1-  At the end of this course the students will be able to understand the basic knowledge of the nature and scope of International Law and the structure of International legal system.
2-To enhance the understanding regarding the application of International Law in practical contexts.
3- Critically analyze the properly operation and application of International Law in a true and real sense.
4- This course also develop knowledge among the students about the basic principles and various issuses confronting the world in accordance with International Law.

 2- Origin and development of International Law, Theories of International Law, Relationship  between International Law and Municipal Law.                                                                                 
 3- Sources of International Law.                                                                                                         
 4- History and development of Internatonal Law.                                                             
5- Codification and Progressive development of Internatonal Law.                                                  
6-Subjects of International Law: Nature of state and different kinds of states and Non- State  Entities. 
7- Recognition of state and government, Various kinds of Recognition and its methods.                    
 8- State Succession and its effects.                                                                                                     
9- Intervention: Kinds and grounds of Intervention.                                                                           
10- State Territory, Methods of acquisition Territory and modes of losing Territory.                           
 11- Law of seas, and Territorial Jurisdication of states on the High Sea and Deep sea, outer space and International Waterways, Contiguous zone and continental shelf.                           
12- Piracy and  Aircraft Hijacking in Internatinal Law.                                                                         
13- Nationality: modes of Acquisiton and loss of Nationality.                                                               
14- Extraditon : Procedure and principle of Extradition.

     ASSESSMENT CRITERIA.
 1-Mid Term Examination. 30 Marks
2-Final Term Examination. 50 Marks
3-Sessional Marks ( Presentation, Assignment, Participation and Attendance ). 20 Marks
4- 75% attendance of the each student of class is mandatory to take the Final Term Examination. 

      RESEACH PROJECT.
The assignment topic regarding on the relevant subject is provided to each student of the class for the research purpose. The lenght of this topic shall not be less than 10 pages. Each student will be participated on the on the relevant topic in class.Some questions are asked by the teacher and other students of the class.
