Unit 13: Measures of Inequality and Development

Overview

Over the past two decades less developed countries have experienced an increase in their per capita income. However, the relative gap between the poorest and the richest countries of the world has remained the same, while the absolute gap has even widened. Why, despite some gains, does this inequality remain so persistent?
