Learning outcomes: 

The course has been designed with the view to equip the students face the challenges of English language usage as a second language in our country. As English is official language it is dire need of the hour to equip our students with a good proficiency level both in spoken and written communication along with the knowledge of grammar and structure of the language. 

 

Objectives of the subject 

 

English is introduced as compulsory subject in the BS program to enable the students of this program to meet the changing needs of language comprehension and presentation skills as English is required as per medium of instruction. After studying the subject at this level of studies the students will be familiarised with spoken and written communication skills.
