Week 8: Improper integration
Improper integration is a definite integral that has either or both limits infinite or an integrand that approaches infinity at one or more points in the range of integration.
Learning outcomes:
To solve improper integrals
Convergence of integrals
Divergence of integrals
Lesson 1:
Brief introduction: we will learn to define the improper integration. How can we guess that integral is improper? The answer is that integral will be improper if lower limit, upper limit or both limits are infinite.
Lesson 2:
Convergence & Divergence of integral: in this lesson we will learn that when integral will converge or diverge? An improper integral converges if the limit defining it exists oterwise it diverges.
Lesson 3:
We will practice the topic by solving related problems and exercises.
