Social media has become a rising phenomenon in Pakistan specially among youngsters. It has created many issues and challenges for all walks of life, however political communication has appeared to be a more significant area. Twitter and Facebook are very popular means of interaction among youth. Both have played huge role in recent political developments in Pakistan. Discuss in detail the exciting features of both twitter and Facebook and its uses by taking examples from 2013, 2018 general elections of Pakistan and 2016 US presidential elections. While taking into account the role played by media cells of political parties in creating political divide present a workable solution for the promotion of national cohesion through social media.
