- Week: 2. Determination of moment of Inertia of various Shapes, Rotational dynamics of rigid bodies and their equations, Rolling without slipping. Problems.
- Week: 3. Angular velocity, conservation of angular momentum, Relation between torque and angular momentum, spinning top with examples. Problems.
- Week: 4. Gravitational effect with its mathematical treatment, Gravitational P.E, escape velocity. Motion of Planets and Kepler’s Laws, Motion of Satellites,
- Week: 5. Elastic properties of matter, Physical basis of elasticity, tension Compression and Shearing, Elastic Modulus, Elastic limit. Types of elasticity,
- Week: 6. Fluid Statics, Surface Tension, Viscosity with examples. Variation of pressure in fluid at rest and with height in atmosphere, Poiseulle’s Law.
- Week: 7. Inertial and non- inertial frame, Postulates of relativity, Lorentz Transformation, with explanation (time, length, mass, velocity). Problems.
- Week: 8. Mass energy relation and its importance, Relativistic momentum, Relativistic energy. Lorentz invariants (Prove equation). Problems.

- Week: 11. Energy Stored in Magnetic field, Energy density and magnetic field. Electromagnetic Oscillation, Forced electromagnetic oscillations and resonance.
- Week: 12. Alternating current, (AC), AC current in resistive, Inductive and capacitive elements.
- Week: 13. Single loop RLC Circuits (Series and Parallel), Analytical expression for time dependent solution, Power in AC circuits, Phase angles, RMS value, Power factor.
- Week: 14. Gauss’s Law for electromagnetism, Faraday Law, Ampere’s Law, Induced magnetic fields and displacement current. Problems.
- Week: 15. Maxwell’s equations, Integral form, differential form, Discussion and implications. Problems.
- Week: 16. Generating an electro-magnetic wave. Travelling waves and Maxwell’s equations. Problems.
- Week: 17. Analytical treatment; differential form of Maxwell’s equations, Energy transport and Poynting vector. Problems.
