- Week 7: Chemical structure, classification, properties and the biological functions of polysachharides.
- Week 8: Introduction to Lipids; Chemical structure, properties and the biological functions of fatty acids and storage lipids.
- Week 9: Chemical structure, properties and the biological functions of membrane lipids.
- Week 10: Chemical structure, properties and the biological functions of isoprenoids and sterols.
- Week11: Chemical structure, properties and the biological functions of eicosanoids and their importance in disease and medicine.
- Week 12: Introduction to Nucleic Acids; Chemical structure, molecular interactions and the biological functions of nucleotides.
- Week 13: Chemical structure, molecular interactions and the biological importance of DNA and RNA.
- Week 14-15: Introduction to Vitamins; Chemical structure, sources, deficiency diseases and the biological functions of fat soluble vitamins.
