With the discovery of new elements, it became neccessary to arrange elements in such a way that their properties can be easily studied. Therefore different scientist tried to arrange elements in different ways but Moosley became the first scientist to arrange the elements in most systematic way.
By learning this topic, students will become able to understand the development of periodic table, groups and period trends as well as the major limitations of each periodic table.

- week 6: Acids and bases, relative strengths of acids, pH, pKa, pKb. Hard and soft acid & Bases. SHAB Principle & its application. Buffers, types of buffer

- week 4: General introduction and Applications (Solvent extraction and Chromatography such as paper, Ion exchange and Column).
