Ummayad Mosque in Damascus & The Great Mosque of Kairouan

Introduction: The Umayyad Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque of Damascus, located in the old city of Damascus, is one of the largest and oldest mosques in the world. The mosque holds massive importance in the Christianity and Islam because of its historical and eschatological reports and events associated with the mosque.

The Great Mosque of Kairouan, also known as the Mosque of Uqba, is a mosque situated in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Kairouan, Tunisia and is one of the most impressive and largest Islamic monuments in North Africa.

Objective: Student will study the architecture of two great mosques.
