Miniature in Gadrang
Introduction: The traditional miniature painting according to the subcontinent is a technique of making fine illustrations on a minimal scale. The paintings are made by using water based coloured and is done in steps. First a wash of water, then a wash of the requires colours. After that the texture of the illustration is slowly built up by fine rendering , also known as ‘perdakht' and applying the paint in fine gradation of the coloures.
