Week 16: Generalization

Generalization is one of the essential characteristics of induction. Induction is complete only at the stage of generalization. Generalzation means inferring universal propositions from particular instances. It consists in going from particular to the universal. 

Kinds of Generalization 

Genealization is of two kinds;

1. Scientific 

2. Emperical 

The basis of Generalization 

The law of causation & uniformity of nature are the bases of generalization.
