Course Code(s): MATH-210.

Credit Hours: 3

Introduction:

The course titled Vector And Tensor Analysis is intended for students enrolling for B.S (4 years) in Physics in 4th Semester. Aim of ths course is to develop understanding of essential mathematical tools vectors and tensors. The understanding of these powerful tools enables students to study and understand the fundamentals of theoretical physics.

Learning outcomes:

After the completion of this course, students will be able to

(i)   Understand the concept of vector analysis, develop skills and then use  these skills in solving physics problems.

(ii)  Understand the reason why the tensor analysis is used. Understanding of the concepts of tensor analysis will enable them to use this powerful tool in various fields of physics.
