HIS-404:  History of the Ottoman Empire

The golden era of Muslim rule on the world is a very essential part of history to be studied by young historians and the Ottoman empire is the most interesting and diverse empire because of its geographical width. The basic idea to study this course for the students is to gain knowledge about Central Asian dynasties and Turks of the Ottoman empire. This course will also make them learn about the socio-political and economic conditions of the subjects of the Ottoman empire and the way it influenced its times.

Evaluation:

The course will require the participation of students in class discussions and in question-answer sessions.

Class Participation                   = 5 marks

Assignment+ Presentation       = 15 marks

Mid Term Examination            = 30 marks

Final Examination                    =50 marks
