PK-St-602: Local Self Government in Pakistan
The object of this course is to apprise the students about the system of local self-Government prevalent in Pakistan. The course will cover different systems of local government in Pakistan .i.e, the system of Basic Democracies, Rural Development Program, the local Government System under 1979 ordinance and Devolution Plan 2000. After studying this course, the students will not only be able to understand the basic concepts of local Government but will also comprehend the historical perspective of the Development of Local self-Government in Pakistan and make a comparative analysis with the systems prevailing in UK and USA.

The course will require the participation of students in class discussions and in question-answer sessions.
Class Participation = 5 marks
Assignment+ Presentation = 15 marks
Mid Term Examination = 30 marks
Final Examination =50 marks
