Course pre-requisites (if any)

  • The prerequisites is the Physical Chemistry (CHEM 181), Inorganic Chemistry (CHEM 161) and Organic Chemistry (CHEM 271) in minimum grade “C” or better.

Learning outcomes

  • Students will gain knowledge about fundamental concepts of biochemistry as well as be able to learn about the structures, properties and functions of amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids and significance of vitamins in diet based upon their classification.
