This subject is taught to the students of first year in medical college . It involves the study of general development of the human embryo initiating from single cell to multicellular body. The overall knowledge of human development is taught in it. The book recommended by the UHS are Langman Embryology and Developing Human by the Moore K.L. The developmental processes learnt in it are later on utilized for study of organs and systems.
