This subject is taught to the students of first year in medical college. It involves the microscopic study of the human tissues. The microscipe is used in the laboratory by the students during the practical time. They examine the slides to see the normal microscopic features of the tissues. Tis knowledge helps the students to differentiate  the pathological features of the tissues which they have to study in clinical subjects during their their graduation. The books recommended by UHS are taught to the students like JunqueiraBasicText and Atlas. Evaluation is done periodically by class tests.
