Research Methodology (RM) is particular set of techniques and procedures use to identify, select, process and analyze about the solution of a problem, to investigate the queries and to reach out solutions. it ensures the process of innovation on scientifical grounds. it helps the reader to critically evaluate a study 's overall validity and reliability. It makes the researcher different from the traditional patteren of acceptence. it estimulates the new findings in the existed literature. it teaches us about the various types of research/ social findings and enables us how to think promptly and to adopt which methodology to tap out from the social trap.
Intended Learning Outcomes for the Students
The students will be able to seed up the following abilities in themselves:
To identify and discuss the role and importance of research in the social sciences.
To identify and discuss the issues and concepts salient to the research process.
To identify and discuss the complex issues inherent in selecting a research problem, selecting an appropriate research design, and implementing a research project.
To identify and discuss the concepts and procedures of sampling, data collection, analysis and reporting.
To explain key research concepts and issues
To read, comprehend, and explain research articles in their academic discipline.
Assessment Criteria
This course carries 03 credit hours and 100 marks for evaluation. The total marks are divided in three parts:
20 Sessional Marks, this part is further divided in four sub-parts:
05 Marks for Class Attendence, 05 Maks for Class Participation, 05 Marks for Assignment and 05 Marks for class Test.(05 x4=20). The result of sessional marks will be declared before the commencement of final term examination on the notice board of the department.
30 Marks will be for Mid-Term Examination, which will be held on the 9th week of the semester.
This paper may include both objective and subjective types questions. its result will also be declared before beginning of the final term exams and the marked copies will also be seen to students to clarify their mistakes.
50 Marks will be for Final-Term Examination
These exams will be held at the end of the semester. 15 marks will be for objective type questions and 35 marks will be for subjective type/long questions. 25% syllabus of before mid-term exams will also be included in the final term syllabus.
Class Day and Time
This course is being offered at BS 6th Semester Reg and Self-Support. For regular, classes will be held at 9-30 to 11AM on Tuesday and Thursday. For SS, class timing is 2- 00 to 3-30 PM on Monday and Tuesday.
