Learning Outcomes

Introduce the students to basic techniques of integrations. Integration by parts, Trigonometric Integrals, Trigonometric Substitution, Integration of Rational Functions by Partial Fraction, Approximate Integration, Improper Integration. Further Applications of Integration: Arc Length, Area of a Surface of Revolution, Applications, Probability.


Prerequisites:

Prerequisites for Techniques of Integration include  Calculus-1.

Area between curves, Volumes, Work, Average Value of a Function. Techniques of Integration: Integration by parts, Trigonometric Integrals, Trigonometric Substitution, Integration of Rational Functions by Partial Fraction, Approximate Integration, Improper Integration. Further Applications of Integration: Arc Length, Area of a Surface of Revolution, Applications, Probability.
