Introduce the students to Limit of functions,  Differentiable functions,   differentiations of polynomials,  rational and transcendental functions derivatives, Integration and  some application and importance of calculus for biotechonology.


Learning Outcomes

This course gives the students the knowledge of application and importance of calculus for biotechonology and the experimental growth curve and growth equations.


Prerequisites

Prerequisites for calculus include courses typically called Algebra I (elementary algebra) and Algebra II (intermediate algebra), elementary geometry as well as an introductory analysis course usually called precalculus.

Real number line functions and their graphs, solutions of equations involving absolute values Inequalities.    

Limit and continuity,   Limit of functions, left hand and right hand limits,  continuity,  continuous functions, 

Derivative and their applications   Differentiable functions,   differentiations of polynomials,  rational and transcendental functions derivatives, 

Integration and Definite integrals, Techniques of evaluating indefinite integrals, integration by substation,  integration by parts,  Change of variables in indefinite integrals, 

Application and importance of calculus for biotechonology: the experimental growth curve and growth equations.
