Introduction

This course is about livestock production and management economics. The objectives of the course are to provide students with an advanced understanding of the economics of animal feeds and feeding, provide a good understanding of economic principles of livestock production, teach economic analysis of livestock production with the help of cost and profitability analysis, teach economic efficiency measures for livestock business and constraints and problems in livestock production and their solutions. So, in this course, all these objectives are achieved by developing a good understanding of these topics among the students.   

Learning Outcomes

After qualifying this course, students will be able to compare different livestock enterprises through cost and benefit analysis, check the efficiency of their business through different economic efficiency measures, farm budget analysis and farm business analysis, and integrate scientific knowledge into the production system to achieve maximum profit.
