This course is prepared for developing the interest of students in research pursuits. What is research ? What are the scientific methods to conduct research? How it is conducted through various methods? This course aims at better understanding of the various research techniques in social sciences. The course emphasises on the major steps in carrying out the task of research, qualitative and quantitative research as well as the concept of objectivity and subjectivity in research.

On the accomplishment of these contents, the students would be able to apprehend major research paradigms and will be able to enhance their thinking capacity and help polish their analytical skills.
