Introduction to course

This course considers the nature and role of law. It examines the role and functions of constitution of pakistan. It interprets the bsic fundamental rights of citizens of pakistan. The relationship between law, judicial reasoning, public policy and politics is also explored including the mechanisms created for the administration and enforcement of justice in different jurisdictions. It also considers a number of fundamental legal concepts. It also enables to understand the laws to protect envoirnment , consumer rights and woman rights.

Learning Outcomes

On the completion of this course, students will be able to:

Discern basic legal jargon;  

Understand fundamental rights described in constitution of Pakistan 1973

Understand the humanrights under international law 

Understand the consumer protection 

Understand the laws regarding environment and woman protection

Class meeting timings

Class meetings will be held on Thursday and Friday of every week.

Timings will be 9:30 to 11 o'clock.

Assesment:

Assesment will be based on assignments, attendance and MCQs type exames. Students will present assigned topics online.
