Introduction to ICT (ICTC-5201)

INTRODUCTION

This is an introductory course related to Information and Communication Technologies. Topics include ICT terminologies, hardware and software, databases, the internet and World Wide Web, and ICT based applications.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of the course the students will gain:

  • Basic introduction to information and communication technologies and their application in the workplace.
  • Basic understanding of computer software, hardware, and associated technologies.
  • Basic learning about using computers in the workplace.
  • Basic knowledge of Internet technologies and how they can influence the workplace.
