INTRODUCTION

Every state has to rely on certain fiscal enactments in order to collect revenue for state's good goverance.Similarly in Pakistan course of Minor Acts includes fiscal statutes.

 This 03 credit hours course is aimed at to cover practical areas of law that not only lawyers have to deal in their practical life but also enable the students to know about the fiscal value of certain enactments. The above named course comprises of the Stamp Act, 1899, Court Fees Act 1870 and Suits Valuation Act, 1887.  The Minor Acts covers different areas of laws having practical significance. In short,Stamp Act, Court Fees Act, 1870 and Suits Valuation Act, are areas which are generally taken into consideration by students and even law practitioners, but the referred branches of law which are fiscal in nature have great significance in reality. The subject being practically important aims at training the students with not only principles but also important case laws applicable.

The Course of Minor Acts has been added to the list of core courses with a view to familiarize law students with practical knowledge of some important areas which fresh law graduates come across in their practical and professional field. These laws include the Civil Court Ordinance, the rent related laws, the law of limitation, the court fee and suit valuation matters and the arbitration issues.

Intended Learning Outcomes

A law practitioner is bound to face the above areas while dealing with a matter involving civil law. The course keeping in view the practical importance of the areas involved, aims at equipping the students with the principles and important case law applicable. After successful completion of the course, the law graduates will better utilize these statutes in their legal practice. Moreover, it will
